Stuff Dealing With Dog Tricks

[ 0 ] July 25, 2010 |

Before a canine can be qualified to accomplish tricks, he must be well qualified within the basic obedience commands.

“Some owners,” says a puppy trainer from the US, “overlook particular things in their desire that their animal be capable to accomplish tricks. They have poor backs or suffer from hip dysphasia or other medical problems.”

An advanced and impressive trick is the ‘Dog Fetch Beer‘ trick. This cool canine trick has your dog go towards the fridge, open the door, retrieve a beer and bring it to you (then shut the fridge door). To do this strategy your canine requirements to know the fetch command.

Before you start, make certain you might have your treats ready as rewards for your dog.

  • Now site several bottles of beer in foam holders (the ones that go appropriate up for the bottle neck are very good making sure that if they are dropped they’re less likely to break).
  • Hold the beer within your hand and say “Fetch Beer” and encourage your puppy to take it. At first he may well not understand what you want but as quickly as he opens his mouth slightly and touches the bottle say ‘good boy’ and reward him.
  • Do this one or two times and he’ll soon realize what you want. Then position the bottle on the floor. Tap it and say “fetch beer!” Your canine will probably paw it at very first thinking its just a game (which it is).
  • Repeat the command and lift it up a small so he gets eventually gets the message and takes it. Reward him when he does this. Once you could have him picking up the bottle each time you say “fetch beer” you might have completed step one. This can take a couple of days to master. Your pet dog must already have basic dog obedience training to ensure that he (or she) will quickly interpret what you are asking him to do.

Step two

This is wherever he opens your fridge door and location the bottle on a low shelf exactly where you puppy can reach it. ) Reward and praise.

One owner, he recalls, tried to train his St. Bernard to sit up. It just didn’t happen. The pet dog was as well huge and ungainly; his high legs could not support his weight. Other owners have been known to try to have their small-sized dogs, such as Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, and Pekingese, jump over walls or by means of hoops that are like jumping above a building towards the dog.
