Stop Your Puppy From Begging With These Great Tips
Begging is not recommended for humans and more so for your dog. Seeing him with sad, soulful eyes is really a sorry sight. But visualise having a party and he comes towards the dinner table and whines at guests. You can stop puppy begging by means of pretending to not see his soulful eyes and the drool on his mouth.
One motive for this may have stemmed from the fact that he has been fed by some members of the household while eating their meals. This can be a common mistake of people in the house who took pity on him. Dogs must not be fed alongside humans. They should be given food near or inside their crates or cages. This is the way to learn him and it is not a bad attitude of denying him food; he has his own feeding time and place and he should recognize that.
Stop your puppy from begging by telling him to disappear from where you’re eating from. An effective GO command will do the trick; otherwise start training them while younger. Dogs and other pets can be trained at the start of their lives and it is in this training that they get to know what is right and what is wrong.
Allow them to have the basics whilst their brain is at its growth stage; training a dog when it has grown up and is mature can present you with a difficult time and sometimes this might leave them barking at you or your guests during mealtime. There are a number more ways to stop puppy begging and it would rely on you as the owner to provide him that. Train them as they should be trained so in the future they won’t give you a headache. It’s a shameful sight once they are seen begging for food on the table. This will often lead them to barking at you as well.
If you only realize how to stop puppy begging, you will end up with a smile within your heart and your dog will grow being an obedient one. Obedience will need to be number one on your list when you’re teaching a pet and the rest will follow. Do not get intimidated when he growls at you for it is only a threat and threats such as this can only bring him inside his cage each time he is at it. Punishment is something that you should do if he will not follow orders.
It is imperative that you should be firm with your rules and pets should follow that rule. Once a rule is broken, it can be the beginning of a rotten relationship between both you and your puppy. You will end up as unsatisfied when you have come to follow the dog’s order and not the other way around.
